Creation of the Company: a team of experts
The Infotel Group was founded in 1979 by a team of experts: Bernard Lafforet, Michel Koutchouk, Alain Hallereau and Josyane Muller. In its early days, the Paris-based company focused on databases and real-time and offered services, training and software to large companies. A few years after its creation, following the success of its software, Infotel opened a subsidiary in the United States.
Listing on Paris Stock Exchange
January 21, 1999, listing on the New Market of the Paris Stock Exchange (now Euronext Paris, compartment B Mid Cap). Infotel reached a new historic stage in its development and acquired the means to finance its growth projects. The same year, the company signed the first agreement with IBM for the development of DB2 utility software sold by IBM.
Expansion around “Web-to-Database”
Infotel adopted a strategic positioning: Web-to-Database, a concept of global technical offer to meet the needs of evolution and helping companies to open up their information systems in December, 1999, the group integrated the company SI2, and the following year the companies Sporen and Innovaco Formation.
External growth and reginal expansions
At the start of 2006, Infotel pursued its external growth strategy with the acquisition and then the integration of the Odaxys group, based in Rennes and Nantes, a major player in IT Consultancy in the Grand Ouest region. Regional expansion continues with the opening of regional agencies in Lyon, Bordeaux, Le Mans, and Niort.
Geographically, the company developed with the acquisition of Addax, which took place at the beginning of 2010, which made it possible to establish itself in the Nice region (Sophia Antipolis), in Aix-Marseille and in Monaco. The acquisition of Emperia, for its part, at the start of 2012, made it possible to expand in the Lille region.
Creation of Archive Data Software
Concerning the software offer, the participation in the creation of Archive Data Software made it possible to add a new distribution channel for the Arcsys archiving software, The acquisition of the German company Insoft Software GmbH at the end of June 2011 completed this offer.
Market expansion to United Kingdom
In keeping the values of excellence, commitment, and quality Infotel opened its subsidiary in the North of England, Newcastle upon Tyne to expand its service markets. Infotel UK Consulting provide services in the UK in IT Product and AI solutions development, Cloud computing, Mobile and Web development and Resource augmentation for IT projects.
Opening of Innovation Lab
The group committed to regional development in the UK market through innovation and invested £1 mln. into Innovation Lab by Infotel to enable the support of businesses in their strategic innovation and digital transformation programmes. The Innovation Lab is developing in three main areas: Collaboration, Fellowship Initiatives, and Idea management platform.
Launching a data management software Deepeo
Team based in the UK developed user-friendly software system to manage large business data that helps to meet GDPR compliance for companies of any size and being promoted in both markets of United Kingdom and France. Nowadays the software was adopted by the large companies in banking and public sectors.
Infotel UK Consulting acquired Smurk IT based in Chennai which allowed to open its subsidiary in India giving an opportunity to expand to Indian market and strengthen its international projects in the automotive, aeronautical and banking sectors, in addition to its European and British teams.
