Nurturing Future Talent:
An Inside Look at Our French
Internship Programme

This summer, Infotel UK Consulting had the pleasure of hosting two talented French interns, Noémie Rappeneau and Morgan Phillipe. Their time with us not only strengthened our connection to our parent company, Infotel Group, but also highlighted our commitment to nurturing future tech talent and promoting international collaboration.

Noémie Rappeneau

Apprentice Engineer Project Manager

Noémie joined us from our parent company, Infotel Group, a leading French IT service and software publisher with a strong focus on digital transformation. Established in 1979, the group has grown into a major player in the IT sector, providing consulting, software, and IT services across various industries, including banking and insurance. As part of a work-study programme in France, Noémie has held different positions on a variety of projects, but found she most enjoyed the roles of Scrum master and project manager. Her experience in these functional positions confirmed her desire to pursue a career in this area after her studies.

During her time in the UK, Noémie was the driving force behind the deployment of Prométhée in our Newcastle office.

This is a broadcasting information system developed by students in France that displays automatic information like horoscopes and traffic updates, as well as customizable content such as news and images on screens within offices. Noémie’s work involved coordinating the team, managing the logistics of equipment, and collaborating with the local communications team to present and implement the application. Her daily work, which follows an agile methodology, saw her heavily involved in team coordination. She supported her colleagues in validating tasks and planned future sprints, showcasing her excellent project management skills.

Morgan Phillipe

Data Analyst & AI Intern

Morgan came to us from OAIO, a digital consulting and innovation agency and a part of the Infotel Group. Founded in 2018, OAIO focuses on helping clients with their digital projects from conception to rapid deployment, using agile methodologies and collaborative innovation. They specialise in co-creating high-value products and services, with a strong emphasis on client experience. Morgan’s work-study experience exposed him to different projects and roles, and he discovered a passion for functional positions like project management, in addition to his technical skills in software development. After he completes his studies, his career goals include specialising in cybersecurity, AI, or quantum computing, with the long-term aim of moving into a project manager role.

While with Infotel UK, Morgan made valuable contributions, particularly in the field of AI. He helped facilitate communication between the French head office and the UK branch on AI initiatives, ensuring a shared understanding of developments. Morgan’s work included launching an AI-focused newsletter and developing training sessions on AI tools for developers. He also supported the implementation of AI tools in France to streamline the process of summarising tender documents. His typical workday was a collaborative effort, starting with a team call to prioritise tasks before working with fellow interns on AI-related projects and training materials. His adaptability and collaborative spirit were a great asset to the team.

A Message for Future Interns

Noémie and Morgan both shared some excellent advice for anyone considering an international internship. They both emphasised that it’s a unique and enriching opportunity that pushes you out of your comfort zone, develops independence, and broadens your mindset. Noémie specifically recommended shared housing or staying with a host family to connect with others and explore a new country and its culture. Morgan’s advice was simple: “go for it!” He spoke of the experience as a great way to discover new ways of working and improve English communication skills, all while adding real value to your CV.

We are proud to have supported Noémie and Morgan on their professional journey. By facilitating internships like these, Infotel UK is not only investing in the next generation of tech leaders but also nurturing international growth and investment within the group.
