The Client
Our client for this challenge dealt in financial security, money management and account facilitation across the UK and Europe on behalf of the European Central Bank. They were also responsible for payments to the Treasury and multiple public companies, as well as supporting cross-border banking post-2020.
The Challenge:
Following a competitor’s failure to launch when it came to providing a POC (proof of concept), we knew we had to act quickly to provide a Blockchain solution.
We started by identifying and resolving two keys issues, and going on to support the incorporation of Blockchain technology to the client’s Information Systems (IS).
- Delivering a new POC to implement Blockchain Technology : This specific tech stack could go onto be used for multiple purposes like enhancing data security, improving transparency and automating transaction tracking.
- Providing training and skills development to key client teams : During implementation, our client’s team needed to understand and maintain the new technology. This would include training sessions provided by Infotel to build the necessary skills, and guidance on best practices for managing and using blockchain.
Skills development needed to cover topics like blockchain basics, its application in their business context, troubleshooting, and ongoing management.
Taking into consideration GDPR restrictions and the challenge of cross-border data transfers, this was no small challenge and we were given a tight timeframe to make it work. Luckily, we always thrive under pressure!

By introducing a weekly steering committee, we were able to provide the hands on training needed when introducing a new, integrated software.
We actively wanted to avoid leaving our clients and their key staff members ‘high and dry’ by providing a solution and no guidance as to how it would work day-to-day.
