The Client designs, manufactures and sells civil and military aerospace products worldwide and manufactures aircraft in Europe and various countries outside Europe. The company is the world’s largest airliner manufacturer and is a component of the Euro Stoxx 50 stock market index.

Mission :

Designing an ergonomic and secure web application for structural
engineers to replace MS Access application.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Delivered IRD Editor web application built on redesign of Client’s application based on MS Access, intended for 200 users (structural engineers)
    that are in different locations of the European manufacturer in United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, and France.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Provide structural engineers with the ability to identify periodic maintenance tasks.
  • Prevent catastrophic aircraft failure, in accordance with regulatory requirements defined by the Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Consolidation of documents ensuring the certification of new aircraft types, or any major modification of existing aircraft.
  • Deliver a project redesigning existed tool based on MS Access into a web application (IRD Editor), intended for 200 users spread over the different sites of the European manufacturer (United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, and France).

THE RESULTS

We delivered IRD Editor web application built on redesign of Client’s application based on MS Access, intended for 200 users (structural engineers) that are in different locations of the European manufacturer in United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, and France.
The team has implemented its know-how to produce a secure web application that meets the requirements defined by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The project was delivered in 800 days with one sprint every 3 weeks. The level of expertise provided by Infotel allowed the Client to perform the adaptation of new system seamlessly and with a strong focus on the automation of the processes.
