Good service performance in Q4

At 31 December 2012, Infotel had totalled revenue of €134.3 million, up 8.7% compared to 31 December 2011, in a global market up 0.7% (Syntec forecasts).

Activity in the 4th quarter also grew (+5.3%), with the Services division up +7.6%. For the full year, the Group focused on growing and maintaining its positions with its major clients, to reach a critical size in a highly competitive landscape.

The Services division (94.8% of turnover) grew by 9.5% to €127.3 million, year-on-year. Despite a still difficult economic context, the 4th quarter recorded growth of 7.6%, thanks to the commercial efforts made over the period and the conquest of new markets, particularly in the field of mobile computing (for example: tablet banking).
The ramp-up of the Group’s service centres in the aeronautics sector also continued. A lack of visibility remains on other sectors.
The rate of intercontracts is higher than the Group standard, particularly in the West.

The Software division (5.2% of turnover) was down very slightly by 3.6% to €7.0 million over the year. In the 4th quarter, it recorded a decline in activity with revenue of €1.7 million compared to €2.3 million in 2011, mainly due to lower ibm royalties than expected.

Earnings Outlook

Given this environment and the desire to prioritise growth, the second half of 2012 should not make it possible to catch up with the delay in operating income in the first half of the year. Infotel thus anticipates a 2012 operating profit that is down compared to 2011.

Confidence for 2013

In a still gloomy context, Infotel remains confident for the financial year that has just started for all of its two business areas. At the end of 2012, the Group signed several contracts in the field of archiving (such as Thales and SMALS – Belgian Social Security) whose effects will be reflected in the current year. Infotel also has a solid financial position.

The Group will unveil its 2013 objectives and its 2016 strategic plan during the presentation of the annual results.
